This is a theme restaurant modeled after the movie "Forrest Gump." It's in a prime location (piered over the water) in Lahaina. I suggest you go just before sunset, as the views are incredible. The food was admittedly not the greatest; mediocre at best. However, its a fun restaurant.
Out front, there is a replica of the infamous "Forrest Gump" bench with a ceramic box of chocolates sitting on it. There are indented, molded areas to place your feet in when you sit on it. It was obviously built so that people can sit in that spot to take pictures.
It's a very casual, open-air restaurant serving casual fare, such as buffalo wings. However, I also seem to recall that they offered Bubba's Coconut Shrimp. There were also several menu items with the infamous Jenny name attached to them. There is a license plate-looking sign sitting on your table, which you use after you place your order with your waiter. The sign says "Run Forrest Run." Very cute.
As you dine, you will hear the soundtrack to the Forest Gump movie playing over and over in the background, which became a bit monotonous since they play nothing else. Whats interesting here is the movie memorabilia that they place (encased in glass) in various places throughout the restaurant. They have some of the military uniforms worn in the movie, as well as other items/props used in the movie.
Service was exceptionally slow. We're used to island time, but to wait almost two hours for buffalo wings and ribs was a bit much. I would return here only for the views.
