Ernies Tomatoes

Ernie's Tomatoes has an overall playful atmosphere. The tomato theme is an intriguing aspect as you walk up to the restaurant. The colorful tomatoes painted on the outside are carried to the inside walls as well. There is a giant red tomato hanging from the ceiling with vines trailing outward. Before you can sit down, a waiter is standing there to serve you, what service.

A free hors d'ouevre of fried squid, not fried spider as it would appear, is served. I was reluctant to try it, but it was pleasantly tasty and crunchy and tasted nothing like a spider. Ha Ha Ha. The margaritas and pina coladas were very tasty. The entrees were delicious, from the seafood burrito to the shrimp fajitas. We were told by a local to ask for mango salsa, and when we did a waiter ran out of the building. To our surprise, he graciously brought the salsa from a competing restaurant.

This restaurant is full of suprises even to the end where they bring complimentary kahlua and creams for dessert.
