For a quintessential Sydney experience go to Doyles at Watson Bay for a good dose of Fish & Chips! Lunch is the best time, Summer/Spring the best seasons. The seafood is delicious, the portions very generous, the atmosphere is loud, happy, relaxed. A couple of tips: you can only book for 12 if going to lunch. After that time you will have to queue. Ask for an outdoor table. They do not take Amex to pay the bill and do not confuse this Doyles with a number of others around the city - this is the one to dine at.
