I had stayed at this hotel previously (about 6 months prior) and had absolutely no problems. The staff was extremely nice and we had a wonderful stay. However, on this visit, I had two very large problems. First, it was impossible to keep the water temperature correct, or have any water pressure in my shower. I thought I might have been showering at the wrong time, but after running into the same thing in the middle of the afternoon, I guess that wasn't it. Finally, and more importantly, I went to the front desk to find out how early I needed to leave for my flight on Sunday morning. Because that is an extremely busy time at the airport, I was told earlier than I had expected. I immediately asked for a wake up call (4:30 a.m.) and was told no problem. I noticed, however, that she didn't type anything in or do anything else, so I asked again to be sure. She said yes, my room # and the time. I thanked her and went to dinner. (No drinking given the time of my departure) My wife called my cell phone just prior to 7 a.m., which was when I realized that no wake up call had been made. (yes, I will now back it up with a phone alarm) The rescheduled flight cost me $600 and I arrived home 12 hours later than planned. All in all, a very bad end to a nice trip to New Orleans.
