My wife and I had the honor of attending a very dear friend's wedding at The Reach Resort this past weekend. What a wonderful place to start your life together, Mile marker 0(zero}. now for the resort: ACES! Upon arrival, the staff , very aware of the trek it is to get to Key West, is all about expediencey in checking you in. The front desk personal, including Wes and Brian, the valets, and Paul, at the desk itself, are polite and as helpful as anyone could ask. At the Strip House(not what you think#, is where the breakfast buffet is set up and where you can also eat lunch and dinner if you prefer to stay within the resort is a very classy place. Gheorge, one of the waiters, who is from Moldavia#Eastern European# is one of the better waiters. And Derek, who seems to be the main man, is always close by. At the pool or beach, during the week, Patrick is the man for towels, chairs and water sports, which include Jet Ski rentals, and assorted water crafts. On the weekend, court is held by my main compadre, Ricardo, who is one of a kind#not that patrick is a slouch), both are terrific people and will go out of their way to assist you in any manner under their domian. Both great guys and fun to talk to and make you feel very comfortable..thanks guys, you're the best! The cleaning staff is top notch; nothing like coming in to change for dinner in a nice clean, cool room after a day in the sun. And dont forget the sister hotel next door, Casa Maria, where you have signing privilidges. The daytime bartenders, Robin and Janice, are top guns! The burgers there are a thing of beauty along with the snow crabs, which defy description. Anyway, to sum up...go there to have a memorable soul enriching vacation.
