Good hotel but needs better staff

I've stayed at this hotel about 5 or 6 times, except for my last visit, everything was very good. Good staff, good rooms and it included free wi-fi and a breakfast buffet which was good. Note as I say they are GOOD, not excellent or outstanding. On my last visit, everything went south, the staff was very rude and the person who tried to check me in wanted to charge me more than what my reservation was made for. Once I showed him, he then tried to fix the problem with a free drink at the bar. (Note, I got in at a late flight) I went to my room, very small, not as other times, room smelled funky and to my surprise, the wi-fi was not working. Went to sleep..... Next morning, went to do what I was suppose to, breakfast was ok... When I got back, Wi-fi still was not working, so I went to the bar to claim that free drink. They did not honor that free drink since according to the front desk it was suppose to be used that day. Left the hotel very disappointed, I am thinking of maybe trying it out again but after last visit I am really doubting it.
