My boyfriend and I decided to go on a romantic weekend to Key West to celebrate our anniversary, we looked at a million hotels and bed & breakfast and landed on The Reach-A Waldorf Astoria property. We found a great deal and thought this will be perfect. The reviews were questionable but the good out weighed the bad. We got to the hotel and the staff was friendly, we decided to self park for $18.00 a day compared to $25.00 a day valet, they also have a $25.00 a day per room amenities charge. we got to the room which was annoyingly far from the elevators (especially since when we checked in it was raining and the hallways are outdoors). We got to the room and the room was MUCH SMALLER THEN we thought. I went to go put some food and beverages in the mini fridge and there were a MILLION SUGAR ANTS crawling all over the walls and "the wet bar." I walked over to the balcony and our view was of the air conditioning unit (not my idea of romance). The bath room was clean, smaller then i expected. The grounds were nice and the pool staff was FANTASTIC. We didn't eat on the property at all but we did eat across the street at Ana's Cuban Cafe! i highly recommend it!!!! All and All the room wasn't the greatest, it definitely doesn't meet the standards of an other Waldorf Astoria property, If i were the Waldorf I would reconsider putting my name on this property with these accommodations.
