Our daughter was a student at the University of Tennessee. On this trip, she had recently graduated and got a teaching job in Knoxville, so we were moving her into her new apartment. No football games or graduations this time .We have always stayed at a property somewhere off Strawberry Plains Road for the convenience and dining. We stayed at the Red Roof Inn property several times when it was Country Inn and Suites~so continued with it when it changed over. On this particular visit we were looking for a room with a competitive price as it was just for one night and we would be getting in late. Red Roof beat the other hotels by a full $10.00 and basically you are receiving the same services. The small amenities like shampoo and soap were a little disappointing. Sometimes you count on those products when packing in order to pack less...the breakfast was good despite the fact that the choices were somewhat limited~however, the woman tending the breakfast area was so warm, friendly, and accommodating...actually the entire staff was extremely warm and friendly~in terms of customer service...excellent!
