We just returned from our 9 day stay with a 2.5 year old and a 3.5 month old. I recommend all-inclusive! Easy to eat at our leisure in case someone wasn't happy, we could leave quickly with no worries. The KidSuites (in building 4) were nice, two bunk beds that my 2.5 year old slept on the bottom with an inflatable bedrail we purchased. Being on the ground floor does lead to dirtier floors in the room. Due to an unexpected power outage in our building, we were relocated to a Junior Suite (they tell me it was an upgrade). It is a larger room with a queen bed and pull out couch. We were moved to Building 1. If you go and are in building 1, ask for a room facing away from the pool/stage. We faced the stage the last two nights and the music goes until 10:30 PM. Not fun with two tired little ones. They have a free babysitting service/kids play room with an adult on staff. Playground in front of building 3. Some all-inclusives are very grand, this one had a great more compact (but not small) feel. You could easily find people because the main areas were centrally located vs. having several pools or places to look for people. The island is nice, you can wade out (about 3 feet deep). Watch out for jellyfish and stingrays though. The staff was friendly and responsive. Other Caribbean hotels have been a bit slower to respond to requests, maybe because this is a Holiday Inn chain, they are more American-ized to speedy service. Free wi-fi internet was also a plus! The pool is great, it is 3.5 feet deep in most areas and has a section that has a sloped entrance that is great for kids.
