We recently stayed at The Sheraton in Old San Juan for eight days. This hotel has the best location in all of Old San Juan. When we first came into the hotel and we were met by a wonderful man named George at the reservation desk. He was so helpful he gave us an upgrade and breakfast vouchers for our whole stay there. Every time we say him during our stay he always ask us if we were doing OK. The breakfast was really great. Our favorite waiter there was Carl, he was a bomb. He told us places to be sure and go to during our trip he even gave us his cell number is we got lost. The whole staff at this hotel was beyond great to us. Did I mention that the beds at the Sheraton are really cozy? Right across the street are the piers that the cruise ships come into, was great to open up your window and see in your face big cruise ships . Also across the street you can hop on a white tram or green trolley for free which I really recommend that you do.Then you will be able to see all the different things to do that are all around you. On Sunday night it is fun to go take a walk down pass the park and watch the dancing in the street. Lots of great music and lots of vendors. You can also walk a couple of blocks and catch the buses to go to the different beaches for just 75 cents. Be sure you rent a car and go explore the island. Best bet is to rent a car from Target, they will come and pick you up at the hotel. It will save you some money than getting a car from Hertz which is in the hotel.
