Bad: The hotel has several elevator banks. A room next to an elevator shaft has clunking and thumping 24-7. Don't bother trying to sleep without earplugs. All the elevators also means several elevator lobbies with many people talking as they go by, late at night especially. Make sure your room is far from elevators. Good: Very pretty place, classic hotel. The staff are all extremely helpful and nice, from the front desk to the concierge station to the housekeeping people. The main restaurant does a very good job with the menu, quality of meals, and service. Good wine list, also. Hotel is just a short walk from the Art Institute, Millenium Park, Grant Park. The 'Corner Bakery' next door is good for affordable breakfast and lunch.
