I like Hilton chains in general, and this one fit right in with the mold - great staff, clean, and well-furnished, although not new. Pluses - it is right on the Mississippi River and has a small mall you can get to without going outside. Downtown, Harrahs, and the French Quarter are all within blocks. Downside - it was a bit noisy - people walking down the hall were loud at times. The in-house restaurant is a seafood place and I'm not fond of seafood. They do have a smaller...cafe? But I think it had a private party or something and closed down. All that was left was limited food at the bar. I had to go out for dinner. Ah well. Breakfast buffet in the morning was good, if a bit pricy. Bottom line - it was good, but not great.
