If you have a lot in mind to do while in San Diego, this hotel is a great place for a quick nighttime stay. The grounds and views are spectacular, but the rooms are small and leave a lot to be desired. Upon entering the room, we discovered that there was an egg smell coming from the faucet upon turning on the water. In addition, there were also a couple of flies in the room and even a spider crawling about. Upon returning to the hotel at night, it is extremely difficult to find a parking space within your area as there was no assigned parking and many people took up more than one space and also had boating vehicles with them. The best part of the hotel was the restaurants and the views as the hotel was right on the water although our room did not have a water view. The two restaurants there, The Firefly and The Blue Pearl, both had amazing food that was reasonably priced and excellent service.
