Best food I have ever experienced at an ALL-INCLUSIVE resort

The food was fabulous - we got to all 17 restaurants and they were great! The rooms had nice, soft mattresses and pillows -- which I really appreciated. And the rooms were large with great TV and nice bathrooms. A/C didn't work that great... Pools are great! And grounds are beautiful. Also, you can swim in the ocean in front of the resort. I have stayed in other resorts along this beach where the swimming is simply not safe (too much undertow). The bad things: (1) nightly entertainment is no where as good as other resorts I have stayed at. (2) there are all kinds of pool activities on the schedule but every time we went to one, it was not happening. I don't know if times were off or what, but we never got to do any group activities. (3) check-in is horribly inefficient. You check in, then they tell you to come back at 3PM to get your room assignment (doesn't happen at 3PM or 4PM or 5PM!) If you were given a BLACK arm band, then you are VIP. This allows you to go to the VIP lounge during your entire stay. They have food, drinks, concierge services, etc. But they don't tell you this at check-in! My recommendation is that if you arrive at the resort any time before 6PM, just grab your swim suit and go have a nice lunch and head to the pool. Then go back to the check-in area about 6PM.
