Nice location, terrible staff, rooms and amenities

When we first arrived, Hotel staff argued with each other rather than wait on us. This went on for 10 minutes. Then the Wifi didn't work, finally got it to work after the second day of a 4-day stay, but only worked about 25% of the time thereafter. Our room is tiny, even for European standards. The wood floor was filthy and we had to wipe the bottoms of our feet off before getting in and out of bed. The air conditioning didn't work (yes, we complained, and they sent someone, but it still didn't work#, so we had to leave the window open so we got to hear breaking glass, trash trucks, screaming people and motorcycles all night long. Breakfast was satisfactory, wait staff were more pleasant than other hotel staff. The staff at the front desk then tried to charge us extra the day we left for a cab #something to the effect that because it was a Sunday it would cost more for a cab). The cabbie said they do that all the time.
