This hotel is a diamond in the rough

We read all of the reviews on line, but figured we had already planned the trip, if something happened, we could take care of it once we got there. For people saying that it is not in the best neighborhood, we went to other hotels, even the fancier ones, and none of them were in the best neighborhoods. Puerto Rico is not a resort, and not the cleanest place, but we felt that this hotel was a diamond in the rough. We spent many a nights on the beach, falling asleep in the lounge cabanas, and right next to the bar. The other expensive hotels had pools, and fancy lighting, but they also has speakers with bird noises coming from them as to think they were authentic. The rooms are small, and the floor is concrete. We didn't spend much time in the hotel room anyways, and the floor actually works out because of all of the sand you track in from the beach. The one negative thing, is that the windows are either plexiglass, or non existent, but they do have metal shades on them to protect from the outside elements, all except the noise. Again, if you are looking for a place to change, and sleep, this is the spot. If you are looking for a fancy place to stay in the room your entire visit, then try something of the more common lodging.
