My girlfriend and I stayed here because my son was getting married and had already made plans based on the ceremony being staged at the beach of this place. I was a little concerned after reading a few middle-of-the-road reviews, but we wanted to be able to have meals with the bride and groom so decided we could live with it, especially as we would only be here two nights. I was pleasantly surprised as this place has nothing to be ashamed of. The desk staff were very pleasant and helpful, speaking very good English. The hotel is painted in bright colors common in Mexico. Our room was on the ocean side and was quite nice and roomy. Bed was firm, which was fine with us. The maids did a good job cleaning up and left us extra bottles of water when we asked. Being all-inclusive, the food and drinks were part of the package, which allowed us to not have to keep paying each time we wanted a drink or meal. The bartenders made some potent margaritas (on the rocks) and upgraded the brand of alcohol used at no charge, which was nice. The breakfast buffet was quite extensive and included an omelet station which rocked! The dinner food was rather unimpressive, although the restaurant where we had the wedding dinner was very good. The staff in this hotel hustled their butts off for us and everyone else we noticed. The only knock I have is that the AC must have been set for a higher temp in the evenings in all the shared buildings (lobby, restaurants) on the campus. We asked for them to turn it cooler during the wedding dinner, but the restaurant staff may not have been able to if it is on a central timed system. Overall, it wasn't as fancy as a four or five-star resort, but it was clean, pretty, spacious and had very good service. We also had the best beaches of the hotels near us. Was very relaxing lying/sitting on a beach chair under a plam tree with a margarita in hand, reading my Kindle and enjoying the beautiful view. Very enjoyable trip.
