This hotel sits on possibly one of the most perfect spots on Clearwater Beach, right next to Pier 60 and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The valets were quick and friendly, the lobby was gorgeous, checkin was fast and VERY friendly. Our room on the 8th floor looked fairly renovated and overlooked the Gulf of Mexico. The beds were very comfortable, the room had a large flat panel tv, robes, a safe and a hair dryer. Everything was very clean. The only negatives about the room were that there were very few electrical plugs for our cell phones and laptops and the ones that were there were the older cream colored ones and some were crooked in the wall. Although superficial, it just didn't fit in for the higher price we paid for the room. Also, the bathroom door was a frosted glass sliding door. It was really cute, but if you like your privacy, this might not be good for you! I could see out into the room through a small gap in the door and it definitely wasn't soundproof, so that could be a negative if you are sharing a room with a business partner, etc. Down by the pools there were no chairs left and both pools were packed so we went to the beach. We rented chairs and an umbrella and the staff there were extremely accomodating and friendly as well. We later went to the pool area to cool off and found chairs (it was around 5pm) and we got the barbeque grouper wrap at the little bar by the pool. It was enormous and absolutely delicious! We opted for the fruit cup instead of chips and were surprised to get a huge bowl of fresh fruits! Well worth the under $10 price. Again, the pool and pool bar staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, the experience was a wonderful one.
