After a very long flight and travel into Paris we were so pleased and relieved arriving at Royal Saint Germain hotel. We were greeted by Alaim who was most friendly and spoke excellent English. He provided us with general information of the area and maps. Our room was ready although we arrived 2 hours earlier than checkin. The room felt very typical Parisian with bold colors and patterns. Our room was cleaned and maintained well the entire visit. The area is a busy shopping area during the day but very quiet at night and early morning. There are 3 choices of metro stations closeby which made touring Paris easier. One block over there was a marche for grocery food items (and wine and beer), a wonderful boulangerie, patisserie, a Monoprix grocery 2 blocks down,a bank on the block corner, a McD Cafe four doors down and a Starbucks nearby. The brasseries in the area were all good food and price. There was an excellent chocolatier one block down also. We did not have the offered breakfast at the hotel as the price seemed high to us for the offerings but the lounge and dining area on the first floor was very nicely decorated and very pleasant. A computer station was in the lounge/dining area for guest use. We travelled in France for 3 weeks and stayed in 10 different hotels and we still say the beds and bedding were the most comfortable at Royal Saint Germain.
