Based on other reviews I carefully booked a room in the 'Suites' building. It was outstanding. Large rooms, great service, very comfortable and well appointed. The site is beautiful out the back, right on the river. Out the front is I880 - very busy but convenient. The hotel is 5 minutes from the Oakland airport and has a free shuttle. The shuttle will also take you other places in the Oakland area. There's an Enterprise Rent a Car office two minutes away that will pick you up and let you leave the car at the hotel - a great convenience. We found the location an easy drive to downtown Oakland or San Francisco as well. We have stayed here twice and would recommend to anyone.
