We have stayed at Country Inns & Suites before in other cities, and we normally enjoy them. Sadly it was not the case this time. Problems: Both phones were dead ;I consider this a gross safety issue; evidently the staff knew about it ahead of time but didn't inform us, didn't offer us a different room;, broken door on closet door that would not let the bedroom door open all the way;again, a gross safety issue;, cheerios on the floor the previous occupants left that the cleaning staff did not clean, moldy shower curtains, no shampoo in the bathroom, the linens on the pull-out sofa were unmade ;obviously slept in by the previous occupants;. Had to go to the desk for multiple items ;because of course, we couldn't use a phone;. The good: the breakfast was great, the breakfast lady was friendly, the desk staff were friendly. Overall, I see sloppy top hotel management and extremely negligent cleaning staff as the main problems. If you come here, bring your cell phone and own toiletries.... and a tool kit would be a good idea too.
