Shuttle Service needs work

We stayed at the Homewood Ste Chesterfield specifically because we knew we weren't renting a car and we needed shuttle service which they said they provided with 15 mintues notice from 7:00a.m.-10:00p.m. Well, we used the service once with no problem, but when we needed to be picked up and brought back to the hotel, we called 45 min. in advance and were told we would be picked up at 5:00. At 5:10 we called as the shuttle didn't show up and we were told the driver hadn't come in yet and they didn't know when he would be there. It later became obvious that they don't necessarilly have someone at the hotel to drive the shuttle at all times between 7:00 and 10:00. There are sometimes hours where no one is available, mostly between 3:30 and 5:30. We then called a cab which took 50 minutes to arrive. We almost missed a performance at our daughter's school which was the entire reason we came to Chesterfield. Then later, we left our older daughter with our younger daughter at the hotel and told the hotel they would need a shuttle at 7:30 am on a Mon.so that our daughter could get to school and we made it clear how important it was. They assured us it was not a problem, but then the shuttle driver didn't show up until 8:00a.m. Our daughter was late to school! Don't count on the shuttle service at this hotel! Also, one of the cabinet fronts in our room was off and just lying on the floor. I will not use this hotel again as the front desk attendants did very little to assist us when the shuttle service was bad and we were not compensated as we should have been.
