Stay here, if you want an affordable hotel with character located within walking distance of a drugstore, fast food chains, affordable local cuisine, sushi, high-end restaurants, and twenty-four hour pubs. This hotel is also in walking distance of the World War II Museum. This hotel is also half a block from the trolley line, so you can ride to the corner of Bourbon and Canal street on the edge of the French Quarter for $1.25 per person each way. Leave your car at the hotel. The rooms don't have much of a view to the outside, but the inside of our second floor room had a spiral staircase leading to a mezzanine with a second queen size bed, which gave us an illusion of separation. I recommend this hotel, if you don't need a fancy room and travel with young teens, who like museums, local food, and exploring.
