Expensive but great location

Staying on Coronado island is definately the best choice for a San Diego trip. As expected, there are a lot of extra fees (Parking, Internet, etc.) but it was a lot nicer than anywhere in the city. Don't expect to walk to the beach - it's across the road quite a ways away. The Mistral restaurant was amazing. Bed was not comfortable. Room was overall fine, liked the big tub, but walls are very thin and could hear neighbors too well. Lobby was under renovation when we were there (May 2012) but did not bother. Pool area is very nice. Expected a little more for the price, but not bad.
