Great place to relax

This was a much needed get away for my me and my husband. We booked the trip on Friday and flew out on Tuesday. We had a great view of the beach and pool. Room was very nice. Clean, spacious and bed was comfortable. Balcany is small but I would rather have the space in my room. Resort was busy but we were always able to find chairs by the pool or on the beach. Bar staff is outstanding. Same goes for the restaurants. Food was good. Better than buffet food you receive at many all inclusives but not as good if you were buying dinner out. After a couple of days decompressing by reading and lounging by the water we went on a half day snorkling trip. Was on a huge catamaran. Crew was a lot of fun. Went to three snorkling sites and they had a terrific lunch on board. Next day we rode dune buggies and that was a blast. Not as many people do that compared to the 4 wheelers. So our group was small. The 4 wheeler tours seemed to go pretty slow just to make sure everyone was keeping up. Was fun to just pass them on by. We felt safe to walk around both day and night. The stores don't open very early. Some not till 2pm. We did join the royal club and am not sure it was necessary. My biggest complaint was with the dining room for royal club members. It was like a tomb. No music, and the staff was lacking much in personality. We went there once for dinner. We waited 15 minutes before getting a drink. Another 10 minutes before they took our order and after another 30 minutes we left. It was evening and besides being ignored they allowed a vacationer to walk around the restraunt in sweat pants going from table to table talking and seemed to be seeking attention. All in all we had a great time. We would go back.
