Very friendly check in staff, very handy to shops and attractions- we walked everywhere and took cabs to the places that were too far away. The big advantage of this hotel was that the room was quite spacious for our family of four- two queen beds in a genrously sized room, and most importantly, a full kitchen that saved us tons of time since my teenagers preferred to sleep in and then eat breakfast in our room rather than find a restaurant every morning. Plus, fridge was large enough to stock drinks and snacks for everyone. Location was great- we were able to get to Empire State Bldg before crowds and so avoid 1 hr lineups, and walk to Central Park, 5th Ave and museums several times during trip. Elevator was a bit slow but this was because of upgrading in progress. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it. One false note was concierge recommended a nearby restaurant as "affordable" which cost almost $200.00 for 4 of us, with only one appetizer, one glass of wine and no dessert!! Also, free internet in rooms would be a huge convenience.
