This was our first time in DC with our kids (8 and 11). Yes, there was construction outside our room..but we couldn't hear a thing. The room was your usual room, big tv. Clean bathroom. The location was excellent..a 15 minute walk The Mall, 10 minute walk to Old Trolley pick up, 10 minutes to Chinatown (although it isn't much of a Chinatown..we did eat at Tonys ..forgot last name. Good dinner). The Metro is below the hotel..you never have to walk outside. The pool was small..and not a deep one either, so we passed on it at night, since it was jammed with kiddoes. The breakfast buffet was great, but pricey. But kids ate half price ($10) and the selections changed a bit each day. The Grand Slam bar was a good place for bar food. All in all..we had a great time..the staff were always kind and helpful. We left our luggage with the BellHop so we could squeeze in one more museum before we left. We did use the valet ($40 per day), which seems to be the usual. But we never had to use our car once we arrived. Great place..recommend to anyone.
