My husband and I agree, for a quiet ADULT get away this would not be our choice next time around. I would rather stay fewer nights\days in a higher end hotel (hilton waterfront, huntington beach) ,that may have sliding glass door that opens to a terrace and fresh air! Not a real fan of recycled hotel-type air. the breakfast was okay, not great, but fair for families with children who want to eat quick and head for san diego attractions. I would rather llinger in my room and eat a leisurely morning meal (brunch). The hotel breakfast went from 6 to 9. Ugh! Toooo early. Once i have grandkids and we want to do sea world and the zoo, i'd consider the embassy suites again.
