We stayed here for two nights as part of a So Cal trip. The resort looks like all the photos online. It is right on the beach with a private bridge over PCH 1 to the ocean. Staff is friendly and professional. They ok'd a late check out for us, helped us with area recommendations and the like. Very pretty grounds. Kids enjoyed the water slides at the pool. There are at least 3 pools, 5 hot tubs. The fitness center was above average and very clean. Beautiful spa on the property. I didn't use the services but went in and it was very well maintained. We ate at the main restaurant, The Californian, and the food was quite good. Fair price on kids menu there, also. High resort fee and parking fee, so that adds $50 total to the cost of the room. Keep it in mind. We had an ocean view 2 queen room. Great view overlooking the main pool. I would return especially if I can get a deal on the room, so as to minimize the impact of the resort/parking fees. Huntington Beach area is very nice, pretty ocean. Lots of surfers. Go to the Sugar Shack on Main Street for breakfast. It's where the locals hang out and you won't believe the retro prices. I had breakfast for under $5!! Best time of year to go is in September.
