My room was small, with an old-school CRT TV with all tile floors. It overlooked the noisy main strip and then the lagoon. In the morning I could hear neighbors and maids opening and closing their outside doors -- sounds easily went through walls and doors. Overall, I wasn't very happy with my room and they were sold out of all others. Others I was travelling with were greeted with entire suites at no extra charge -- we spent more time in those than my room. From what I could tell, the beach is much less crowded than others nearby (I presume since Kin Ha is a pretty small place). The beach was nice, but you can't swim out very far due to the jetskiiers trying to drum up business. I tried swimming past the rope a couple times to snorkel in slightly deeper water, but folks from the jetski company would tell me I was asking for trouble. The service at the onsite restaurant was sparse, but friendly. Eventually I just starting getting up and directly asking the waiters for things -- I'm not an experienced Mexico traveler so I wasn't sure if the 10-20 minute waits were a cultural thing. The grounds are well-kept, and the pool/beach are relaxing so no complaints there. Overall, I was happy that I chose a small place to stay and the small kind of atmosphere. There is probably better service elsewhere, but if you aren't picky you'll have a good time for a good price here.
