The online rate made this room a bargain. Staff was very friendly and prompt. Check-in was smooth and the rooms were as requested. Layout of the King room was a little odd with a backless couch like contraption at the foot of the bed facing the TV. Not very comfortable for sitting. High ceilings were nice and made the room feel "open". King bed was quite comfortable. Right side of the bed had less than 2 feet to the wall making it difficult to get out of bed on that side. Microwave, coffee maker and fridge are in a cupboard with no counter space making any kind of prep a challenge. Bathroom ceiling was taller than expected (and a pleasant surprise) making dressing much easier for those of us who are over 6 feet tall. Even the mirror was high enough so I didn't have to stoop down to comb my hair. Bathroom doors are like double closet doors. They leave a gap in the middle so don't be shy with your roommates. The doors are also impossible to open/close quietly. Water temp and flow was very good and the toilets flush well. Sounds from hallways are significant, so staying at the far end of the corridor is better for noise control. Breakfast was OK with waffles, cereal, bagels, etc., but nothing special. All in all, I was happy with the value of the room, but might use the Hampton next time.
