I stayed overnight at the Affinia recently with my boyfriend. We frequently travel to Manhattan and are familiar with the city, but had never spent much time in Murray Hill. The area and hotel location is great for a younger crowd looking to hit the town (lively without feeling crowded), as it's a short walk to great restaurants and bars along 2nd and 3rd Ave. It's also a short walk to trains. We happened to drive in to the city on this occasion and found street parking very quickly not more than a few blocks away. The room itself was surprisingly spacious and quite clean. We didn't use the kitchenette , but it was great to have access to a full-size fridge. Our room overlooked 34th St and was quiet. Overall it is a great hotel for the price - practical and very affordable without losing out on any amenities. My only suggestion: they should provide free WiFi.
