I have never been to a hotel where customers are not treated well. Here, the owner is looking out for himself, and made it difficult for my friends and I to have a great stay. It took 2 hrs to check in. While we did break the rules of having visitors over, the owner decided to tell us after 11AM the next day (so he could collect the late check out fee) and charge every extra person--even when he saw them go in on the cameras during the night. Then he threatened to call the cops on them for trespassing his property, and after we settled to pay for the extra vistor fees, he stood outside the door while allowing only my friend and I to take out everyone's belongings. I think it's more worth it to pay $10 for a more convenient stay, especially in Santa Cruz where there's vacant hotels everywhere close to the Boardwalk.
