The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. Everything was as clean as it could get, and there wasn't an odor smoke anywhere, like you get in some hotels. The bathroom was very nice, including the shower, and everything was provided for us. I've been to the Crowne Plaza Albany before, so I was expecting the same type of hotel as that. While nothing was necessarily bad, this hotel did not even compare with CP Albany. It seemed like, as others have put it, a motel was renovated and cleaned up and took the CP label. There was no elevator, which was okay for us but might be a problem for others. Also, the mattress was probably the most uncomfortable thing I've ever slept on. It was more like sleeping on a bunch of pillows than an actual mattress... I have a back injury and need a sturdy mattress to sleep on in order to be comfortable. While I greatly enjoyed my stay here, and would recommend this hotel to others (especially if you are looking for a nice, cheaper hotel to stay in while you visit the Tri State Area, I will not visit this hotel again myself because of the issue with the bed. If you like a softer mattress and don't have back problems, this shouldn't be a problem for you, but unfortunately I couldn't get enough rest to be able to enjoy my stay.
