Have always enjoyed my stay(s) at the Esmerelda

We have stayed at the Esmerelda many times and have always enjoyed our stays. Staff is usually plentiful and very service oriented. Had a couple of issues this time that I have not run into in the past. They are small issues but I will mention them anyway. Valet service was slower and less attentive than in the past. A valet was having a personal conversation on the phone for minutes and made me wait until I asked him for assistance. The pool bar closed before dark, and it hadn't in the past-actually one of the reasons we go to the Esmerelda is the pool(s )and pool bar. Lastly, the hotel had issues with having enough towels by the pool. I had to go into the exercise room to get pool towels as instructed by staff .
