The Hotel InterContinental provided a comfortable and relaxing stay on my recent trip to Montreal. The staff was professional and courteous, and even with my attempted French, responded in English. The hotel is located in the International Quartier, just a few blocks away from the Vieux Port (Old Port) area. It is in walking distance to the shops on rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest and from the Old World feel of the Old Port. The Plateau neighbourbood is approximately a 20 minute walk north of the hotel along rue Bleury. The hotel's restaurant (OSCO) serves an excellent Risotto de Homard (Lobster Risotto). The prix fixe menu changes daily with an innovative array of Mediterranean-inspired selections. There is a Steak Frites St. Paul located directly across the hotel on rue Saint-Antoine. You should go there on an empty stomach because it is all the frites (fries) that one can eat with your meal...plus a salade. I would highly recommend the Hotel InterContinental for location, value, and comfort!
