I spent a week at the hotel with my mom. we arrived late at night and were given a room with one bed. I hoped we would get two beds, and the desk clerk said though they were out at that time we could change in the morning. Our room was very nice, we were on the 6th floor and our room faced the Aston hotel next door, though when standing on our deck we did have view of the ocean. Being on the inside was quiet- the a.c units below could be heard if our sliding door was open, but we didn't hear any street noise or animals from the zoo and most importantly we never heard our neighbors above, below or on either side. Our room and bathroom were both clean and comfortable; aside from the fact, as others have noted, there's only one chair in the room. Because I feared getting a less dsireable room, we ended up just staying where we were, but I was happy how ready they were to make changes for us. They changed the door keying system while we were there. We'd spent the entire day away, coming back between 10 and 11 pm. The desk clerk was confused by my request of new room keys. Since you couldn't get them 'til after 5, I was kind of amazed that the night desk clerk was clueless and that's why I didn't give an excellent for service. The maid was excellent and, unlike other people noted, our carpet was clean . I am not gonna lie, the hotel isn't new, but it is a very nice older hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay there and would definitely come back to the Park Shore Waikiki again.
