I have stayed at this hotel perhaps about 10 times and this was the first time I was disappointed. As a "regular" I have a certain type room I always request and have gotten until this trip. I was given an inferior room this time and was really annoyed by the haughty attitude of the clerk at the front desk. When I told him I had requested a certain room and had been a guest many times, he was unapologetic to the point of rudeness. Then when we got to our room the remote for the TV didn't even work and we had to get some one to replace it. (not just a question of changing a battery) The rest of the staff was terrific as usual but it was enough of an off-putting experience to lead me to check out other hotels for my next trip. I have always recommended Affinia Dumont before but no longer will do so.
