Our recent stay was anything but relaxed. After the hotel gave away our large villa, they shuttled us to an offsite guesthouse, which was a depressing, musty, wood paneled dark house. After we refused the upgrade we were left sitting in the lobby for several hours until we argued long enough for the to give us hotel rooms for the 7 us rather than the 2 they tried to put us in. Exhausted from traveling we asked to stay in those same rooms for the second and last night of our visit and they said no we had to move. The next morning, at 11:00 we packed and waited to be moved. They did not have our villa ready until 4:00 that afternoon! Then we learned it was a three story walk-up. We were stunned since I had explained to the staff the day before )when we tried to give us that musty room) that my mother-in-law had severe asthma! The experience was a nightmare; hotel staff unhelpful, and manager never around to facilitate constant mess-ups. We spend more time without a room during our brief 48 hour stay.
