Not what you would expect from the Radisson chain

I stayed 3 nights. The hotel is well located in Vieux Port with a beautiful view. The front entrance is covered in fake grass and looks a bit tacky.The inside of the hotel is tastefully decorated with a cross between Provence Modern and African style.Once stepping off the elevators you are greeted by nice spacious and flowing hallways to your room. The hotel is under staffed and service is extremely slow. The staff that you will run in to however will always greet you with a smile and a Bonjour or Bonsoir. The Solaris restaurant connected to the hotel is nice inside and also tastefully decorated. Although once again lined with tacky fake grass. The food is well presented and is worthy of calling it a quotDecentquot restaurant. The only down side is the wine choices #40Menu#41 are aweful and the size of the menu shouts..sheer laziness!! as it is extremely small and lacking variety. The design of the Menu is nice enough but completely impractical as they contain little glass windows that are all but falling apart. Room service is also very very slow. The food comes from the bar menu and is pretty decent. Internet connection is throughout the hotel and the rooms and is working well. The pool pictures for the pool is quite deceiving on photos provided by expedia and other sites. It is very small for a luxury hotel and resembles a small square. For a pool of 3 years it is in aweful shape as they have used sub standard materials and it is not properly maintained. The view from the pool area is amazing though. The Gym...it works...like who is really on vacation or business to work out. Front desk staff are quite friendly and effective. Everyone speaks english well.
