We arrived early in the morning at the Orla and were treated quite well, including the several phone calls to the front desk as we got settled in. The hotel is directly across the street from the beach (there are no hotels right on the beach) as promised. Our room assignment was a disappointment. It was extremely small with a view of the alley. The following morning we made a request at the front desk to be moved to a larger room. They accommodated us with a much larger room and an ocean view! The included breakfast was sumptuous including many kinds of fresh fruits, eggs, meat, cheese and a variety of baked goods. They kept the strong Brazilian coffee coming! They did offer us "free internet" but it was a dumbed down speed and each time you opened the computer /smart phone we were required to login again. The only real negative was the incredibly hard mattresses. Our backs and hips would be hurting after a few hours and so tossing and turning all night was the only way to cope. The rooftop pool is an oversized 12x12' hot tub but there is ample area to sun bathe. Overall a god choice for an economical hotel, with many restaurant choices and beach access. We discovered we do not like beach vacation in the big city.
