nice rooms, bad shuttle service

If you're just looking for a nice place to stay, then this hotel will do. But if your looking for a hotel that will make getting to and from Mall of America easy, this is not the hotel for you. The shuttle only runs every 2 1/2 hours, or 4 times a day. And when it does run it's packed. Our shuttle drivers always acted surprised that there were too many people than the shuttle could carry, despite the fact that all the families said they called the front desk to let them know how many were in their party. Also the shuttle is shared with the two near by hotels, which also lead to crowding and confusion. There were two times when people were left behind at the mall at night and they had to wait for the shuttle to return for them. Also there were two times when we were being picked up at the hotel when the bus driver loaded the shuttle, realized there were too many people, had every one get off and then went back for a bigger shuttle. One of the most frustrating pick ups was the evening. The pick up times were 6:30 and 9:45 pm. That made planning for dinner difficult. There are no restuarants near the hotel, only the one in the hotel. We didn't eat there. On our last night we finally paid a cab to take us back the hotel, because we were done shopping and eating at 7:30. The cab costs $20.00.
