The room was large and the bed was nice, but some aspects of the room fell short. First, there was no hot water, unless I let the water flow from the tap for 10 minutes (my room was on the 6th floor), I thought that was wasteful, so I gave up taking a nice bath every night. I called the front desk and instead of just saying that I'm too far away from the boiler, they sent someone to my room to "fix" it. That was worse than just telling me I'd have to run the water for a long time, because then I had a stranger in my bathroom for 15 minutes. (After he let the water run for a long time, Viola! it was fixed!) I don't consider myself spoiled, but I should be able to get a hot shower and bath at a five-star property. Second, my room was across from the ice machine, and like all such rooms, it was very loud. I tried to muffle the sound one night by turning on the fan, but the mold smell from the vents was so strong I had to turn it off. One good part of my room location is that it had a covered balcony (few rooms do--see pictures). Nice place to read and one day watch a storm. I was not as impressed with the poolside service as others. I waited 1/2 hour one day for someone to take my drink order, then they disappeared without getting my drink. Took another 15 minutes to flag down someone else and get the drink. Beautiful property, though!
