I stayed in this hotel assuming the Crowne Plaza name would suffice for a four star hotel. First of all this hotel is chock full of airline crews and worse, cruise ship passengers. The four free internet computers downstairs are always occupied by them or kids IMing.\nThe beds are comfy but I gather someone slightly overweight each weed stayed in mine as it tilted to one side. The bathrooms are the deal breaker, though. Circa 1970 with water in the shower going from scalding to freezing every few seconds.\nThe area was also a shock. I didn't feel safe at night and took a taxi to be elsewhere (the other Holiday Inn (Exress, I think) is in a lovely neighborhood and cheaper, to boot.\nThe swimming pool was very nice but I didn't pay $169 for a pool. The dining room was dark and brooding with no windows and very expensive.\nThe staff were accomodating but made it very clear that they were absorbing that 19% tax that foreigners don't pay.\nThe only plus was the location across from San Cristobal.\nNext time I will stay elsewhere.\n
