We stayed at McKinley Creekside Cabins last week while visiting Denali. The location is great, just south of the park entrance. It's a quiet location (as is most of Alaska!), with quiet time at 10 pm. It was the first week of the season, so not too crowded, but there were quite a few cabins occupied. We were in cabin 5 with our own bath and it was more than adequate. We had no hot water when we got there and it took an hour or so before we could use any, but they fixed it. We were disappointed that when we walked up front to tell them (no phones in the room) they seemed to already have known and forgotten to fix it. The restaurant was very good and the baked goods case amazing! Our server was a very friendly, sweet girl there for the summer as are most of the folks we met. We drove north past the park entrance to where the Princess Denali Lodge is and had a great meal at The Salmon Bake in the little village where there are loads of little shops and other restaurants. I would stay here again for the simple convenience, but don't expect a 5 star hotel! You're in the wild and it's perfectly appropriate for the surroundings.
