The hotel was immaculate and extremely well-appointed (push button drape openers, a TV in the bathroom mirror, etc). Service from the front desk and concierge was perfect. Our room rate included valet parking and breakfast, which made the price quite reasonable. The a la carte breakfast was delicious with the best breakfast potatoes I have ever had. The only negative would be the perfume-like scent in the public areas that might be bothersome to some people. Overall, I would stay in the Vancouver Shangri-La any time and will look for other hotels in this chain when I travel abroad.
