Ceylan Intercontinental was great, after a long day of sightseeing and dinner you can't beat a surprise complimentary champagne bottle waiting for you at the room when you happen to be there on your birthday, that will tell you about their attentiveness to detail.
Overall staff was very polite from the bellboy almost running out to the street to grab your luggage to the welcoming smiles of the rest of the staff.
Rooms were kept very clean and nicely designed with marble wood and built in fridge, and snack bar, free room and reception safes were very handy, not to mention the nice high rise room view and/or from their top floor bar/restaurants. It's also perfectly located at walking distance from Taksim one the main shopping streets and around the corner from the (10dlls) Havag shuttle to the airport (in case you don't wan't to spend the 60dlls either way). Internet is not free but their system set up is very professional and you can purchase a 3 day pass for about 30 dlls but the quality of the hotel makes up for any such extra expense. Highly recommended for any type of vacation in Istanbul! I'd definitely stay again,
