My wife and I had a very nice time at the Allegro. It is a medium-sized resort with all of the expected amenities. The food was wall prepared and tasty, with a nice variety. It was not gourmet, but we enjoyed it. The beach amenities were wonderful, with white sand, nice chairs and palapas, a very convenient bar and snacks nearby. The pool was nice and the staff was very helpful.
The entertainment from about 8-10 pm can get loud so, if you are early to bed, I would suggest that you have a room on the outside of the comples to avoid the noise.
The rooms were clean and functional. We did not spend a lot of time in ours, but were satisfied.
This resort is like comparing a smaller cruise ship to one of the massive newer ones. Its amenities were less varied, but it certainly provided us with everything we needed.
