This hotel was decent, but not spectacular. The room was clean, the free breakfast was good, and the concierge was very helpful with booking activities. When it rained, though, we had to walk through several inches of standing water to get from the lobby to our room. They need to repair the gutters. The free wifi almost never worked in the room; I gave up asking the front desk to fix it. Putting these minor issues aside, our stay was enjoyable. We spent our time out and about rather than sitting around the hotel, anyway. The tradeoff staying at the Comfort Inn was that we were far away from Duval Street and other interesting parts of the island. However, if you can't afford to stay in the heart of it all, bicycles make a great way to get from the Comfort Inn to the downtown area. There is a bicycle rental place just down the street. We paid about $15/day per bike. The island is too big to traverse by foot, but you'll have a blast riding a bike. It is the most bicycle friendly place I have ever been (good sidewalks and bike lanes, bike racks everywhere, and so on). That said, the Comfort Inn is an acceptable choice for the budget traveler.
