We stayed for one night at the hotel because it is close to Hearst Castle in nov/2008. Check in to one room. The plunger sits in front of toilet with dirty towel on the floor. The toilet does not work. Was switched to a different room. Then the true horror started. I was tired and laid on bed for half an hour before my roommate came out of shower and called out that there are bugs on the bed. As we checked, there are hundreds of small to large bugs crawling all over the place, over the blanket, sheets, pillows. Initially thought they are BUgs, but later realized that those are bedbugs. Called help desk and no one picked up the phone. Went down to look for receptionist and took them 30 mins to get out of bed and answer the knock on the door. The guy told me that they never had problem with that room and switched me to a third room. The last room was ok. Did not realize the magnitude of the problem until I left the hotels the next day. My arms, hands, feet, legs became itchy, red with over 30 bite marks. Have never seen a bedbug before, I googled bedbug and saw similar symptoms reported (By the way, WiFi does not work in that hotel.). The itch was so intense and almost ruined my vacation. Does not appear to be an isolated incident because the last reviewer reported bugs as well.
Do not stay in that hotel unless you loved bugs!!!
